20 Aug Summer of Stitching for Intermediate Learners
Throughout the summer the FC Designer Workspace has hosted a series of 1-day courses aimed at intermediate sewers. After receiving several requests from learners wanting to further develop their stitching and making skills the FC Designer Workspace team put on a series of 1-day classes focusing on key garments: a dress, a bodice with sleeves, a skirt and a pair of trousers.
Open to local residents and those further afield, the aim of the 1-day classes was to support and empower learners to develop their sewing skills.
The feedback from attendees was excellent and included:
“I learnt more about darts, patterns and invisible zips. I bloody love it here!”
“Both Ana and Elisa are very friendly and helpful. Thanks.”
“I learnt about interlocking on a Juki, techniques on sewing darts, tips on threading. I liked that it was easy to follow step by step.”
