12 Oct Saturday Sewing Club Now Available

For those based locally the FC Designer Workspace can now offer access to the space and its state-of-the-art equipment for 4-hours on a Saturday. The Saturday Sewing Club provides a great opportunity for beginners, home stitchers, students or designers to concentrate on their designs/makes with likeminded individuals. The space includes all that you need: sewing machines including; flatbeds, overlockers and cover stitch along side pattern cutting tables and mannequins, plus a tutor will be on-site to support with any stitching / production guidance.

During the first week four local residents attended the 4-hour session where skills development was provided along with career advice regarding rates of pay, local companies needing to have trainee and apprentices. However, it is noted that a minimum of ten people are required for each Saturday opening.

These sessions are currently available on 3 Saturday’s each month from 10am – 2pm.
