Quality Visit From Capital City College Group

On Friday, March 14th, Fashion-Enter Ltd / Fashion Technology Academy team had a quality visit from Capital City College to evaluate various aspects of its training provision.

The review focused on the following areas:

– Induction– Formal training and education

– Learner review and individual learning plan (ILP) quality

– Teaching, learning, and support arrangements

– Work experience selection and monitoring

– Staffing resources

– Continuing professional development (CPD) and best practices

– Health and safety and safeguarding

Overall, Fashion-Enter successfully met the requirements in all areas, receiving a rating of ‘Low Risk.’David Dangana​​​​, Chief Learning Officer at Capital City College commented:

  •         The learners are progressing well on programme. They are working on their final major project and are all in line to complete their work successfully.
  •          The tutors are appropriately qualified and they work with CCC staff for assessments and verification. The ratio of teachers to learners is good.
  •         The staff at Fashion-Enter have worked closely with the CCC staff and there is a lot of sharing of good practice.
  •          The specialist accommodation is fit for purpose and mimics the real industry experience with the specialist equipment for the fashion industry. The teachers are able to get around to supervise and support each learner during the day. The students have access to the VLE to support their learning and they also have their paper based portfolios.
  •          Fashion-Enter is a low risk provision as the quality of provision is good and the report indicates this.

Lan Leeder, Head of Education said: “The teachers at Fashion-Enter Ltd are all trained professionals, and we excel at delivering courses that cater to the needs of our learners. During the quality visit, we received a ‘Low Risk’ rating in all areas, which would not have been possible without the team at the FTA. We genuinely care about our learners and their success.”

CCC learners typically complete 2.5 days a week of timetabled classes at their college and have timetabled at 6 hours per week (1 day) at Fashion-Enter Ltd’s Islington campus.
