23 Oct Islington Youth Employment Hub Opening
Tuesday 17th October from 4pm – 6pm, Fashion-Enter Ltd Development Co-ordinator, Gee, attended the opening of an amazing new Youth Employment Hub located on Caledonian Road.

This hub is open to 16 – 18 year olds looking to start their careers with some guidance. Islington Youth Employment Hub was designed and created with the assistance of the young adults, getting paid the London Living Wage and gaining hands-on experience in the working sector through a project called: We are Cally. This space is located at West Library and is full of helpful resources to guide the young attendees onto the right path.
It was great to see the huge green curtains, that can creatively split up the library, made by Manuela when Fashion-Enter and the Workspace ran a Community Curtain Making collaboration for the West Library last year!

Gee said: “It was fantastic to speak closely with other businesses / project runners from Islington, speaking closely with support workers, teachers and community workers in the area.
I am looking forward to holding more workshops and to see how we can contribute to the Youth Hub Employment Centre at West Library. There is so much opportunity with the FTA and FC Designer Workspace and the courses we run, alongside work experience for anybody interested in starting their career in fashion.”
”It was great to check in with Siobhan and Jack who are part of the education sector for Islington, we are looking forward to organising a date to visit schools (Jenny Holloway CEO & Gee Fletcher) and have a career workshop with more students.”
