16 May Free FEL Upcycling & Sustainability Workshops at the Westfield Good Festival

The Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) team are thrilled to be involved in the Westfield Good Festival, taking place at London’s Westfield sites from 26th May to 4th June 2023. If you would like to meet the team and try your hand at upcycling or alterations for clothing then come along to these free sessions.

The concept behind the festival is to make the world a better place and celebrate all that is ‘good’ and Westfield shopping destinations, in both Shepherd’s Bush and Stratford, will be hosting a series of free events. Visitors are invited to discover a world of conscious consumption, sustainable fashion, waste reduction, upcycling and to strengthen communities.

Westfield Good Festival includes an impressive schedule of workshops and events from Urban Farming to making Kimchi and how to grow food from scraps.

Members from FEL will be on-hand to offer practical advice on upcycling clothing. They can advise and demonstrate on customisation tips from something as simple as changing a button to upcycling a garment to make it your own.

FEL’s Refreshed Threads workshops will take place:

FEL’S The Perfect Fit workshops teaches different hand stitching techniques which will enable you to tailor any garment. Having the perfect fit is not easy to come by so why not ensure every item in your wardrobe is a go-to piece that you’ll love to wear time and time again.

FEL’s Jenny Holloway will also be discussing ethical and sustainable manufacturing throughout the supply chain from audits to greenwashing in two masterclasses.

‘Behind the seams of ethical and sustainable fashion’ will take place in both locations:

The aim of these workshops is to showcase the importance of recycling and upcycling in action. It’s to give skills and enjoyment to the attendees and also to discuss the different types of jobs that are available within the sector, including apprenticeships and additional courses that can upskill people. So far all the places are booked out for each of the sessions, including the seminar at 5pm at both events. There are over 25 people booked on each session and this will not include passer-bys – we are expecting this figure to reach at least 50 per seminar. Please click on the above links to view availability.
