FCDW Resident: Sequinova Shortlisted for H&M Global Change Award

Big congratulations to Clare Lichfield (pictured below), founder of Sequinova and resident at FC Designer Workspace, for being shortlisted for the H&M Foundation Global Change Award in Sustainable Materials & Processes.

The Global Change Award seeks bold, early-stage innovations that can decarbonise fashion and drive industry-wide transformation – all while ensuring that both people and the planet thrive. The focus is on game-changing ideas that challenge the status quo and turn brilliant ideas into scalable solutions. Sequinova is one of twenty shortlisted for this prestigious prize.

Sequinova’s biodegradable sequins are a game-changer, replacing traditional plastic with eco-friendly alternatives that naturally break down, reducing microplastic pollution. Known for her eco-friendly stance designer Stella McCartney recently used Sequinova’s sequins in one of her designs for her Autumn / Winter 2025 collection shown at Paris Fashion Week (pictured below).

The 20 finalists will now be reviewed by H&M’s expert panel, who will select the 10 winners of the Global Change Award 2025 – to be announced in May.
