17 Apr FC Designer Collective Repair & Upcycle Drop-In 15th April

On Tuesday 15th April we hosted another Repair and Upcycle Drop In session at our shop, FC Designer Collective on Fonthill Road, close to Finsbury Park tube station. Thanks to support from Islington Council these sessions take place twice a month and openly invites all, whether you have sewing experience or not, to register and drop in with your repairs, alterations and upcycles.

The session on the 15th April attracted 17 attendees to our fully equipped and sociable shop. Items brought in ranged from shortening skirts, adjusting and re-hemming trousers to upcycling tops and t-shirts.

Feedback from attendees ranged from good to excellent, with most wanting to return for further sessions and most stating that their sewing confidence had improved. A regular comment on how the drop in could be improved was to have more sewing machines available for use within the space.
