Enrichment Career’s Session With Highbury Field School

Lan Leeder, Head of Education at Fashion-Enter Ltd / Fashion Technology Academy, participated in a Year 12 enrichment activity with thirty-three Year 12 students at Highbury Field School in the London Borough of Islington.

Taking place on 1st May the aim of the session was to engage with the 16-year-olds  and talk about the fashion industry and the courses at the FTA, including the UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Practice

Every Friday, guest speakers and enrichment activities take place at Highbury Field School to educate and inform young people about different jobs and industries, as well as important life skills, such as saving money, sewing and repair techniques.

This particular session involved decorating a tote bag using various techniques, such as hand-stitching, colouring, sticking, and adding trimmings.

It was a fun and creative session where the Year 12 students took a break from their usual timetable to create something fun to take home. It was a relaxing, informal session where the students could learn about the FTA’s courses and fashion pathways.
