13 Jun Camden Choices and Opportunities Day

On Wednesday 12th June, Manuela, tutor from the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) had a table at the Camden Choices and Opportunities Day to inform attendees about the training, studios and courses we provide at the FC Designer Workspace. The event was aimed at adults 19+, looking for support and advice on education, careers and employment in Camden and surrounding London boroughs.

Manuela commented: “This morning’s Camden Choices and Opportunities Day was very good. This was my first-time participating and the staff at the Working Men’s College were very professional and welcoming. Everything was ready for me to set up and begin engaging with potential learners. 

“I met with men and women from all different cultural and academic backgrounds who were all drawn to our stand. I enjoyed our interactions and speaking to other educational services and bringing awareness of Fashion Technology Academy and FC Designer Workspace.

“I collected contact details of those who showed a keen interest and will be passing their information on to admin to follow up.  There was a good amount of people who did not know we existed so I would recommend FTA to continue collaborating with other services with the goal of recruiting potential learners and possibly creating new opportunities for FTA.”
