27 Feb Business Advice: Budgets Forecasts and Cashflow for Your Fashion Business

On 26th February, Fashion-Enter Ltd’s CEO, Jenny Holloway hosted a Budgets Forecasts and Cashflow masterclass. Managing cashflow in any business is crucial and is one of the most common area startups and emerging brands struggle with.

This 1-hour session took place via Zoom and was open to FC Designer Workspace residents and students, along with external individuals. Jenny covered core areas such as; costing sheets, profit and loss, cashflow and book-keeping explaining thoroughly using a PowerPoint presentation. She provided examples of budgeting, financial forecasts, and the different forms of funding available to start-ups. Drawing from her own extensive experiences, she explained how businesses can begin on a limited budget and gradually scale by focusing on healthy cash flow and consistent sales.

Keeping creatives in mind Jenny provided lots of real-life examples and lessons learned making the information easy to digest and understand. She welcomed interaction from the attendees and responded to questions on funding sources, loans, partnerships, terms and conditions on payments and more. This free 1-hour session attracted 36 attendees and received excellent feedback.

The next masterclass will take place Wednesday 26th March 10 -11 via Zoom and the topic will be: ‘How to ensure your production is right first time.’
