06 Sep 3 Day Beginners Stitching Course

Just before the start of the new academic year the FC Designer Workspace held its final summer short course, a 3-day beginners stitching course. 

Taking place from 2nd – 4th September attendees were guided on everything they need to know to start their garment making journey. From setting up and using sewing machines safely, maintaining the machines, and identifying the correct fabric settings.

The course, taught by experienced tutors, then fully explained various sewing techniques to create stitching samples, as well as measuring, cutting, and constructing basic patterns.

Attendees were keen to learn and valued the tutors advice and support, feedback included:
