Workspace Resident Dreaming Eli Presents AW24 Collection at London Fashion Week

Celebrating its 40th year, London Fashion Week, 16th – 20th February 2024, showcased the latest design ideas from a roster of brands, new and established.

The FEL team were rooting for FC Designer Workspace resident, Dreaming Eli by Elisa and her latest AW24/25 collection entitled: ‘The Dead Woman Talks Back’.

Dreaming Eli’s latest collection tells the tale of beautiful, vulnerable women that in the process of loving are dragged, body and soul, to their deaths. Fallen women, a tragic metaphor for the exterminating powers of young, unchecked lust. The Victorian romanticisation of death and young women classified as aesthetic objects. ‘I take my heart in my hand’ – Cristina Rossetti.

Alongside signature Dreaming Eli tailoring, corsetry and lingerie, streetwear references are introduced with cropped hand embroidered t-shirts paired with deconstructed denim. A first for the brand, with the use upcycled vintage Levi’s, from Mexico and USA, to create contemporary couture jeans.

The collection also saw the introduction of stocking jersey, bringing stretchiness to sheer body con silhouettes, with a progression on tailoring from SS24. Ripped box jackets with moulded corsetry showcases her signature style and are adorned with freshwater pearls and distressed silk chiffon detailing.

Congratulations to Elisa and her team for the successful London Fashion Week presentation. The FC Designer Workspace team have seen firsthand the amount of work and preparation that has gone into this collection.
