09 Feb Work Experience Spotlight: Monique
From the week commencing 2nd February, Monique undertook a dynamic and immersive work experience placement across Fashion-Enter Ltd’s Haringey factory and the FC Designer Workspace in Islington, with a focus on Marketing & Social Media.
The week had been carefully structured to give Monique a 360-degree understanding of the fashion industry from garment production and quality control to education and skills development. Beginning on the factory floor in Haringey, she gained first-hand insight into manufacturing processes, fittings, sampling and sustainable repair practices. She then spent time at the FC Designer Workspace capturing authentic, behind-the-scenes content that showcases the learner journey and creative studio environment.
As the week progressed, Monique transitioned into marketing and content creation, applying her observations to develop promotional material that highlights Fashion-Enter’s production capabilities and educational impact. The placement concluded with a reflective article summarising her experience and the insights gained into manufacturing, sustainability and the power of storytelling through digital marketing.

Here is Monique’s reflective article: More than just Marketing: My Week as a Fashion-Enter Intern By Monique Noel
Spending a week at Fashion-Enter Ltd as a Marketing and Social Media Intern, gave me a true behind-the-scenes into the fashion industry. As someone passionate marketing structure and strategy, I wanted to understand how a garment moves from design to final production and how that story can be communicated effectively online.
My experience blended creativity with craftsmanship, in the factory, I supported quality control, practical hand stitching, assisted with cutting a skirt sample pattern, and observed client meetings. Being involved in the production process allowed me to appreciate the precision, teamwork and skills required to create each garment.
Alongside production, I also focus on content creation. I filmed and edited “A Day in the Life of a Fashion Learner” TikTok to highlight the ethical manufacturing process and the energy within the Workspace. This experience showed me how powerful storytelling can be in bridging the gap between craftsmanship and consumer awareness.
The highlight for me was learning how ethical manufacturing can be both a technical process and a powerful marketing message.
I leave this internship with practical production skills, stronger digital content experience and a deeper understanding and respect for the lifecycle of a garment. Thank you to Beth and the entire team at Fashion-Enter Ltd for warmly welcoming me and sharing your expertises. This internship has given me the confidence and the foundation I need, to continue a career in marketing and social media within the fashion industry
