30 Jan Work Experience Spotlight: Marissa
From 26th–30th January, Marissa Noel joined the Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) team to gain hands-on work experience within a live garment production and learning environment. During her week with FEL, Marissa worked closely with the FC Designer Workspace and the FEL production team, gaining valuable insight into how fashion concepts are taught, developed, refined and brought through to finished products.

Reflecting on her time at Fashion-Enter, Marissa highlighted how observing and taking part in consultations and fit meetings helped her understand the importance of clear communication and collaboration across teams. She also supported the preparation of samples for manufacturing, developing her organisation and time-management skills, particularly in relation to meeting production deadlines. Marissa was involved in quality control processes, inspecting garments for technical and production faults for clients including Mutherhood and E.L.V. Denim, which deepened her appreciation for the precision and attention to detail required to maintain high product standards.

A key highlight of the week was working with the United Repair Centre, where Marissa gained practical insight into sustainable and circular production practices. This experience strengthened her understanding of how garment repair can reduce waste and extend product lifespan. Overall, Marissa described the week as confidence-building, enhancing her understanding of production stages while reinforcing the importance of efficiency, quality control and sustainability within the fashion industry.
Fashion-Enter Ltd is proud to support emerging talent through meaningful work experience opportunities that reflect the realities of the fashion industry today.
