13 Nov Upcycled Brand Atelier Macleod Now Stocked at FC Designer Collective

Fashion-Enter Ltd’s community-focused retail space, FC Designer Collective, based on Fonthill Road, Islington, is thrilled to announce it now stocks the upcycled and sustainable fashion brand Atelier Macleod.

This collaboration reflects the shop’s strong commitment to repair, reuse, and responsible design, a mission also championed through its free drop-in repair and upcycle workshops, held every two weeks with support from Islington Council. These popular sessions invite the local community to learn sewing and upcycling skills, giving clothes a second life and encouraging more mindful consumption.

Earlier this year, Atelier Macleod partnered with the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) Leicester—part of the Fashion-Enter group—for the small-batch production of its latest upcycled cropped t-shirt collection. Each piece was crafted from existing materials, highlighting the brand’s dedication to circular design and support for UK-based garment manufacturing.

Founded by designer Niamh Macleod in 2024, Atelier Macleod blends French tailoring influences with contemporary British style. Driven by transparency and sustainability, Niamh’s collections are designed to minimise environmental impact while celebrating craftsmanship.

“It’s important for us as a brand to support the UK’s garment industry,” said Niamh. “We have so many talented people who could have fantastic jobs in this field. I’m excited to be part of this fashion revival.”

The addition of Atelier Macleod strengthens FC Designer Collective’s mission to make ethical and circular fashion accessible to all. Visitors can explore the new range in-store alongside collections from other independent, local designers and take part in the shop’s free repair and upcycling sessions.
