As seen in the recent Reuters / Telegraph articles FEL encourages employees regardless of age.
Talking about the issueFEL’s CEO Jenny Holloway said: “Older workers are the ones that have got the skills – we don’t find young people with the skills that we need. So it’s very important to retain them.” She said that to encourage experienced workers she has offered flexible job roles and shifts.
At the other end of the scale FEL is passionate about training the next generation of fashion and textile workers. This includes the provision of Level 1 beginner’s courses, apprenticeships and masterclasses. The company also provides factory floor tours and seminars for secondary schools, and, as you can see in this short YouTube video work experience, such as work shadowing days.
