The Green Futures Event – Promoting Sustainable Careers

On Monday, 6th October, Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) / Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) was invited to join the Green Futures event, and FEL’s Head of Education, Lan Leeder was present to promote and discuss the FTA’s courses.

The Green Futures Event is designed to inspire and inform students, adults, and community members about opportunities in apprenticeships, training, and sustainable careers. The event features talks, workshops, and networking sessions, showcasing exhibitors from a diverse range of industries.

Sponsored by Westminster City Council, along with the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington, the event aims to introduce Year 11 to 13 students, as well as adults who are not currently in education or employment, to sustainability.

Lan also explained to attendees about FEL’s approach to sustainable fashion, including free repair workshops on Fonthill Road, workshops and courses at the FC Designer Workspace, and manufacturing at FEL’s CMT factory in Manor House.

Throughout the day, numerous potential students attended the event, expressing interest in doing a creative course at the FTA. Lan said: “It was a busy event with potential learners asking about our courses. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm for fashion and their eagerness to learn more!”
