20 Oct Textile Forum: UK’s Leading Sourcing Exhibition for Luxury Textiles
On Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th October 2023 from 9am until 5pm, Development Co-ordinator, Gee and Fashion Studio Project Manager, Dana, spent their time at the luxury fabric and trims exhibition: The Textile Forum. Organised by UKFT, the largest network for fashion and textile companies in the UK, the event took place at the beautiful London venue – One, Marylebone.

The trade exhibition held space for 36 exhibitors, made up mostly of textile companies and 6 of which were manufacturers. Gee commented: “It’s always great to represent Fashion-Enter Ltd at UKFT events and showcase the all round services we provide. As part of Dana’s and my job we hold many initial consultations each week, guiding designers through the process of manufacturing ethically and a lot of the time they are start-up brands at the beginning of their journey.
“Attending shows like the Textile Forum always provides great market research and networking with local sustainable suppliers so that we can gather information and guide the new designers down an easier path of sourcing. The contacts made at this event will be added to the list of suggested suppliers with information such as minimum order quantity’s and location, and sent over to the tenants at the FC Designer Workspace.”

A high number of the attendees across the 2-days were students embarking on their fashion brand journey, the FEL team are excited to get in touch with contacts made at the show and provide guidance where possible. FEL can offer support with ethical UK production, sampling, courses to upskill, affordable studios to rent, equipment hire, masterclasses with industry experts and more.
