30 Sep Stitching Sustainability: FEL Hosts Free Repair & Upcycle Drop-In for Sustainable Fashion Week
In celebration of Sustainable Fashion Week, Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) hosted a free Repair and Upcycle Drop-Insession at the FC Designer Collective shop on Fonthill Road, London N4, on 30th September. The event welcomed members of the local community to bring in their pre-loved clothing for expert guidance on repairing, altering, and upcycling.

With stitching technicians on hand, along with sewing equipment and supplies, attendees worked on a variety of garments—from vintage skirts to trouser adjustments and coat re-hemming. The drop-in provided a relaxed, supportive environment for people to learn hands-on skills and extend the life of their wardrobes.

Generously supported by Islington Council, the success of these Drop-In sessions has led to a commitment for more bi-monthly dates over the next six months.

All attendees rated the event as excellent or good, and many expressed interest in returning for future sessions to continue learning and repairing items from their wardrobes.

Next session: Tuesday 7th October
FC Designer Collective, 113-115 Fonthill Road, London N4
