11 Aug Islington Summer Special: 4-Day Pattern Cutting Course

Fashion-Enter Ltd’s series of summer short courses held at the FC Designer Workspace have been gaining excellent feedback. This week, commencing 7th August, the team held the 4-day Beginners Pattern Cutting course with the option to recreate a favourite garment.

This fully booked class was led by tutors Lan and Manuela and the group were introduced to the fundamentals of pattern cutting and garment construction, excellent skills that attendees will be able to utilise at home or continue to develop. As this course was full to capacity the FEL team relocated the class to the Fashion Technology Academy in neighbouring Haringey as the learners required extra table space to work on their patterns.

The group were very complimentary about the tutors and how they adapted and gave time to each and every student. Many requested more 4-day short or evening courses that they could fit around work commitments.

This stitching introduction is a brilliant way to use up scrap fabrics or old clothing items and to practice using the machines. Due to demand we have also scheduled two extra Upcycling Workshops on the 23rd and 24th August at the Workspace, these cost just £5 for the day and attendees can bring in items from home to upcycle.
