Introduction to Draping – Sell Out Workshop

On Saturday 17th May, FTA tutor and couturier, John Herrera, held a much-requested ‘Introduction to Draping’ workshop. This sold out session introduced attendees to the art of draping a bodice with darts and transforming a flat piece of fabric into a three-dimensional masterpiece. Draping encourages creativity in new ways and by experimentation evolves original and unique ideas.

John covered:

  • Draping a bodice with darts
  • Circle skirts
