Hand hEld mentoring support for Islington resident Elwira

On 25th of July Elwira visited Leyla and Gee for the morning at the Fonthill Road FC Designer Collective to discuss her business plans and future proposition for her collections.

Elwira, a true creative, commented:

“I`m a passionate artist and qualified nail technician. I grew up in Gliwice, Poland. After completing my master’s degree at Silesian University of Technology, I moved to England in 2011. I enjoy working with a variety of materials including resin, acrylics, watercolours, alcohol inks, polymer clay, and nail extension products. I find my inspiration through patterns created by nature. It evokes my passion to create handmade fashion accessories.”

Elwira has been perfecting her art but like most creatives has neglected the business side of her brand.  This is why she met with Gee and Leyla at the shop to discuss how to move forward with her business.

One of the most important parts of business is to ensure that the cost of the items are correctly priced up and there is significant margins available.  A competitors analysis was taken to ensure that the prices were correct. Advice from Leyla was also given on merchandise display and Point of Sale display. The discussions then progressed on to ranges and how fashion works with Gee providing an overview of courses available.

The meeting lasted four hours in total Gee commented: “It was really great to meet Elwira and see her range of nails and accessories.  We really are pleased she’s decided to showcase her products in the boutique along with discussions on how to expand the range.”   For further information regarding Elwira please see https://peachcheeks.uk
