28 Jan “Great course, jam packed with information” – January’s 4-Day Stitching Course for Beginners
From 20th January the FC Designer Workspace held its popular 4-Day Introduction to Industrial Sewing and Garment Making course. Designed for beginners, this hands-on course provides the foundational skills needed to confidently operate industrial sewing machines and create garments from start to finish. Participants range from home sewers wanting to learn more skills to those wanting to pursue a fashion-related career.

Throughout the 4-days, participants learn; the foundations of industrial sewing, exploring fabrics and techniques, construction of a simple garment and completion of a sewing project. The tutors are mindful to take each individual at their own pace and can adapt each lesson accordingly.
Feedback from the January course included:
“Ana was great. She explained everything at a really good pace. Not too fast, not too slow. The space is extremely inspiring and cool to be working amongst global professional designers and watching them work.”
“I joined the course to gain more confidence in my ability to use a sewing machine after a long period away from working in fashion. Ana has truly inspired me with the information she has given me and I feel 100% more confident with my skills.”
“Great course, jam packed with information and I will be back for more learning.”
