29 Aug Free Sewing Workshop for 16-18 Year-Olds

To promote the new Level 3 Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication 1-year course, the team held two free sewing workshops for 16- to 18-year-olds on Friday, 15th and 29th August at the FC Designer Workspace. It was a great turnout with over 20 participants across the two days.  

 The learners were taught how to use industrial sewing machines, including threading, sewing and operating the machines. They concluded the sessions by stitching a simple wallet to take home. They also had the opportunity to speak with the teachers about the Level 3 course, review the portfolios, and discuss any questions they had related to the course.
