17 Dec FC Designer Collective Hosts Final Repair & Upcycle Drop-In of the Year

Fashion-Enter Ltd’s FC Designer Collective on Fonthill Road hosted its final free community Repair and Upcycle Drop-In session of the year on 16th December, generously supported by Islington Council. The day-long event welcomed 22 participants and proved to be an extremely busy and productive session.

Attendees brought along a wide variety of items to alter, repair and upcycle, including jeans, trousers, skirts, dresses, jackets, tote bags, a duvet cover and even a laptop cover. It was inspiring to see so many everyday items reworked and given a new lease of life, reinforcing the importance of repair and sustainability within the local community.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with all attendees rating the session from good to excellent. Many commented on the high standard of support from the stitching technicians and expressed a strong desire to return for future sessions, with some requesting increased machine availability due to the popularity of the drop-in.
