10 Aug Commercial Review of FC Designer Workspace and Fonthill Road Retail Shop
As part of Fashion-Enter Ltd’s ongoing review of programs the CEO and Senior Management Team meet quarterly to review the programs with their PIA meetings. (Priority, Issues and Actions) or as CEO Jenny likes to call the meeting “What’s on your mind and what’s on your desk!”
These meetings are always an honest review of programs being undertaken. To ensure that Jenny had up-to-date information she visited by the Workspace and retail unit in June to formulate reviews. The visit was unannounced on both sites.
As part of that review a summary was then created and for transparency and integrity reasons certain slides have been omitted.

Jenni Sutton was the Development Director responsible for the FC Designer Workspace and is now being run by Jenny Holloway, email: fcdesignerworkspace@fashion-enter.com
Jenny Holloway commented: “It was interesting to undertake spot checks on the sites and review exactly where we are. The two sites are incredible, they are excellently resourced and fit for purpose. However, there has to be a level of realistic expectations from tenants and from the designers showcasing in the FC Designer Collective, and that means there needs to be commitment and a willingness to set high boundaries of expertise with the garments on sale, realistic pricing structures and dedicated individual marketing. Designers need to be coming to the retail outlet and organising sales and events to promote their brand and generate sales.
“With the recent announcement by the Bank of England Governor that we are approaching recession we all need to work as one, as a complete team.
“We provide fabric, trims, threads, free mannequins and support the designers with free masterclasses and mentoring where it’s possible. Our staff have been relocated to be on-hand to help in all ways possible especially with construction and stitching skills.
“There is a world of opportunity that can be achieved and now is the time to grasp this unique moment in time.”
