Islington World of Work – Empower Project

On Thursday 26th June, a group of Year 9 students were invited via Islington Council to the FC Designer Workspace for a career session on the fashion industry. Fashion-Enter Ltd’s Head of Education – Lan Leeder conducted a presentation for the group and explained the various jobs available in the industry, such as:

– Fashion Designer

– Fashion Buyer

– Retail Manager

– Fashion Merchandiser

– Fashion Marketer

– PR and Communication Officer

– Social Media Manager

– Stylist

After the presentation, the group participated in a hands-on workshop, where they had the opportunity to use industrial machines and practice sewing. It was an interactive and engaging session.
