24 Oct Saturday Stitching Club at the FC Designer Workspace
After numerous requests for a weekend class the team at the FC Designer Workspace put on its first Saturday Stitching Club on 21st October.
The class was fully booked and limited to 10 learners, all wanting to learn how to use the industrial machines and how to make garments.
Tutor Gintare commented: “All 10 learners came and enjoyed the session and would like more Saturday stitching classes in the future. I asked who would attend another stitching class and they all lifted their hands up. They were all saying same thing, that they are working and would like Saturday classes like this one, plus evening classes, suggesting that it runs from 6 – 8pm.
“The group want to learn how to make simple garments next time and practise more on the overlockers. I suggested a lesson on making a reversible tote bag and they loved the idea.
“Some would also like to learn pattern cutting as either a Saturday or evening class as well. The first session went really well and I am happy to continue with more Saturday classes going forward.”
