30 Aug 2 Days of Upcycling at the FC Designer Workspace
Last week we had great feedback from the two fun days of Repair and Upcycling at the FC Designer Workspace with our tutors Elisa, Manuela and Gintare.
Over the two days the FC Designer Workspace welcomed two different groups with different levels of experience in stitching, mostly at beginner level. The students learnt the necessary basics of setting up different types of industrial machines and how to use their creative skills to transform something old into something new!
‘I learnt how to make a skirt out of scrap fabrics, the tutors are amazing and very helpful’
In just one day one of the attendees created a waistcoat from an old T-shirt.
Feedback included:
“The staff were very helpful and the course was very fun.”
“I learnt how to create ruffles and how to sew in a zip.”
More upcycling workshops will be announced in the coming months along with free drop-in sessions at our neighbouring FC Designer Collective shop.
