15 Aug Voice Out Woman
FEL Development Coordinator Gee Fletcher met Jasmine Bekale, founder of Voice Out Woman, a charitable organisation that aims to support women fulfil their full potential, during a workshop at Haringey Learns in May. Gee was inspired by the way Jasmine spoke about supporting women with a variety of opportunities and developing their skills and confidence.
Jasmine came to visit the FC Designer Collective shop in Islington back in July, where Gee explained how FashionCapital, the FTA and the Designer Collective / Workspace supports the community with learning opportunities, skills and business development.

Jasmine’s charitable organisation Voice Out Woman, is dedicated to supporting women in the fulfilment of their full potential in all walks of life through education, training, professional opportunities, community engagement and engagement in leadership roles.

Gee explained how FEL and Voice Out Woman could work together and passed on the flyer for the FC Designer Collective’s upcoming monthly Upcycling Workshop in collaboration with Islington Council. Jasmine will be passing on the flyer to different support groups / residents in the area so that they can drop in upcycle clothes and socialise with other members of the community.
