14 Apr Working with Chapel Market
As part of Fashion-Enter Ltd’s social outreach and working with the community at the FC Designer Workspace we are pleased to report that we are working with Chapel Market in Islington and looking to support with promotion, PR, tote making bags, creating new traders for the market etc.
The market started in the 1840’s and prior to that the area was known for pie and mash shops. The first market stall owners were in 1844 selling fruit and veg, this then expanded rapidly until it was officially recognised within London as a street market in 1879. By 1881 there were 31 shops and 150 barrows used to sell merchandise.
During Covid numbers have dwindled but now there is a concerted effort to make Chapel Market great again. Over an 8 hour period Ana and Jenny have been developing a new styled tote bag to support the new Chapel Market campaign!

Here’s to the next chapter for Chapel Market and its traders!
