Shama & Co Styles Selected to Launch on SilkFred

On the 25th January FC Designer Workspace was delighted to introduce the online fashion platform, SilkFred.com to the talented women from the modesty brand Shama and Co.

Since the beginning of September https://fcdesignerworkspace.co.uk/shama-and-co-adapting-to-the-market/ FEL has been working closely with Shama and Co to provide the hand-held mentoring support that they need.

This has involved market analysis, reviewing their fabrics, fits, patterns grading and quality control. A 15% discount was also applied as they are part of the Affordable Workspace program.

FEL CEO Jenny Holloway commented: “This work takes time and commitment by Shama and Co and they realised that to have excellent quality then we had to start again and go back to basics. Absolute credit to all three of them. They listened, they learnt and now they are in a brilliant position to supply SilkFred.”

At the meeting with SilkFred was brand scout, Kati Hedges and also Joyce Ogunade, the Head of Affordable Workspace/Community Wealth Building Directorate at Islington Council.

Kati was delighted with the range plan and selected five styles for SilkFred. The launch will be ASAP depending on the Shama Co selection of fabrics. This will be a modestywear first on SilkFred!

At the meeting FEL promised SilkFred that they would support on production to ensure that the brand works to the guidelines of Silk Fred for retail and wholesale distribution. A brilliant experience for Shama and Co and the development of their brand.

Many congratulations Shama and Co. Best of luck with your up and coming launch.
