On Wednesday 24th August Marie, founder of Hashtag Made IV Me, went to the retail shop – FC Designer Collective on Fonthill Road, with Fashion-Enter CEO Jenny Holloway to review her collection at the shop.

Following the commercial review by Fashion-Enter Ltd on 10th August it was highlighted that the designers based at the FC Designer Collective need to be proactive and really use the resources they have provided by Islington Council to make their business succeed.
Fonthill Road has been a long-established area for fashion wholesale for many years. There are still some iconic brands on the famous Road but times have changed and part of the meeting and review with Marie was to discuss change management for her brand and support how the shop and her collection can be changed and improved to create more sales opportunities.
Currently the brands being sold at the FC Designer Collective are: Anaqaa Apparel (also known as Jannaty) Ennay, Shama and Co, Hashtag Made IV Me, Another Earthling, Diva Choice, TemAD Collections, Margaret Griffiths Jewellery and Craftelia.

Marie’s collection is inspiring. She has her own unique style and caters to the fit of real women. Many of her clothes also have more than one functionality so you are effectively buying two dresses in one.
Following her successful fashion event when she teamed up with Tricia Blake from Diva Choice, Marie has been concentrating on how to make the changing fashion landscape become an advantage for her brand.
Marie and Jenny spent 7-hours together in the retail shop reviewing all aspects of merchandising, labelling, display, quality and even changed all the hangers! And there was a result! One of the bespoke pieces from her collection, an orange jacket, sold for £70.

Jenny commented: “Marie has been absolutely brilliant today. We need to do this in-depth review regularly to ensure that she comes into the shop weekly so she can really understand her customer base and adapt her collection accordingly. It is essential that all the brands stocked in the shop regularly change their stock to provide newness and seasonality. I have so much confidence in Marie’s design capabilities, she now needs to drill down on business and sales.”
