Circular Economy GRANTS available!

Islington Council is partnering with ReLondon to offer grants and expert advice to small businesses based in the borough to help reduce waste by adopting Circular Economy principles and playing a vital role in tackling climate change!

An explanation: the circular economy basically looks at how to get the maximum possible value from resources by extending their lifetime for as long as possible – by recycling, re-using, repurposing, and repairing things rather than throwing them away.  This is imperative to Islington’s wider environmental ambitions as we aim to become a net-zero borough by 2030.  I have copied a useful illustration at the bottom of this email to demonstrate how the circular economy works.

I would really recommend attending the info session – we are particularly trying to attract businesses in the fashion and textile industries as we haven’t had much interest from this sector so far and it would be great to get some Fashion Enter affiliates involved!

Please do spread the word – the applications are open till 27th Feb so there is plenty of time if anyone misses the info session tomorrow.
