Last Saturday 25th October, the 1-Day Introduction to Corset Making workshop with acclaimed designer John Herrera took place at FC Designer Workspace, attracting nine enthusiastic participants ranging from beginners to intermediate sewing enthusiasts. The sold-out session offered a full day of creative exploration into the timeless art of corset making and the feedback could not have been more positive.

Throughout the day, attendees embarked on a step-by-step journey into the intricate process of corset construction. Beginning with accurate body measurements, participants learned how to trace a basic bodice block and adapt it into a personalised corset pattern. John guided everyone through essential techniques, including marking, labelling, and drafting, ensuring that each student understood every stage of the process.
